saturnstudio ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Vibepad mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.
Information Collection
Vibepad is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide and improve our service:
- Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics, including app launches, feature usage, and crash reports. This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.
- No Account Required: Vibepad does not require user registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers.
- No Server Storage: All your button configurations, layouts, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your custom configurations.
Permissions
Vibepad requires the following permissions to function:
- Bluetooth: Required to connect to your Mac or Windows computer and transmit keyboard/mouse inputs. Bluetooth data is transmitted directly between your devices and is not sent to any server.
- Microphone: Used only when you activate the Voice-to-Text feature. Audio is processed by OpenAI Whisper for transcription. We do not store or transmit your audio recordings to our servers.
- App Tracking (iOS): We request App Tracking Transparency permission for personalized advertising. You can decline this without affecting app functionality.
Third-Party Services
Vibepad uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics: For anonymous usage analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements. Google Privacy Policy
- OpenAI Whisper: For voice transcription (Speech-to-Text feature only). OpenAI Privacy Policy
Data Storage
All your personal configurations, button layouts, and app settings are stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by iOS and Android. This data is:
- Never uploaded to our servers
- Never shared with third parties
- Deleted when you uninstall the app
Bluetooth Communication
When connected to your computer:
- Data is transmitted directly via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
- Communication is point-to-point between your phone and computer
- No internet connection is required for basic functionality
- Transmitted data includes only keyboard and mouse inputs
Children's Privacy
Vibepad does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require registration and collects only anonymous analytics data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
